Outstanding service from first office call from Amanda to the site inspection - I received a curtesy text prior to kevins arrival with a picture and basic bio so I knew who to expect. From start to finish, a very professional experience. Communication is excellent, all questions thoroughly answered, great follow up, installation experience was great too. But best of all- I love my solar tubes. What a difference they make. I keep thinking I forgot to turn my lights off and then grin about how bright and beautiful my kitchen is now.

Can hail break my skylight?

As the world leader in skylights, VELUX stands behind our products with a promise of lasting service and quality. As such, we have a hail breakage warranty for VELUX skylights with Clean, Quiet & Safe glass, which comes standard on all of our No Leak Skylights.
We’ve tested this glass in Australia, where some of the worst hailstorms happen. In our test center, hail balls roughly the size of a baseball were shot at the glass at speeds over 100mph, and the glass came out on top!
So, it’s not likely that hail will break your VELUX skylight. You are, however, eligible for a 10 year warranty that your VELUX Skylight with Clean, Quiet & Safe glass will not crack or break because of hail.

Will a Skylight Leak Skylight

The Skylights incorporate a condensation channel that prevents leaking and is structurally reinforced with aluminum to give you peace of mind where your skylight is concerned.

Can I install skylights if I have a flat ceiling?

Yes! It’s a common yet incorrect assumption that a flat ceiling means there’s no opportunity to add a skylight for daylight and fresh air. A simple skylight light shaft can dramatically change your indoor environment.

Does the Flat Roof – Roof Access Skylight come with insect screens?

No. Insect screens are not available for the Flat Roof – Roof Access Skylight.

What’s the difference between a skylight and a Sun Tunnel®?

Both skylights and Sun Tunnel® provide a way to bring bright, natural daylight into your home, but there are a few key differences between the two.
Traditional skylights are fixed or venting windows installed on your roof. They provide more light and, if able, open with the touch of a button to let in fresh air. Traditional skylights will fit in larger spaces and can visually expand areas in your home.
Sun Tunnel® skylights are a more low-profile way to bring natural light into small spaces in your home. Composed of an adaptable reflecting tube, they bypass obstacles in your ceiling to direct daylight right where you want it. VELUX Sun Tunnel® skylights are made of a pre-fabricated light tunnel, which makes them more cost effective as well as quick and easy to install.
